How to get to caorle

Caorle looks out over the Adriatic Sea. Its shoreline is divided into two sections, called the Ponente and Levante beaches.

Famous all over Europe, it’s considered a real “Pearl of the Adriatic” thanks to the multi-coloured buildings lining its narrow streets, as well as its picturesque scenery and extremely long stretch of coastline. But how do you get to Caorle?

The town’s in a quiet area surrounded by peaceful countryside, but that doesn’t mean it’s isolated. Thanks to its great links, it’s easy to get there with all means of transport. Caorle’s location makes it an outstanding destination for people travelling from nearby cities full of artistic treasures, such as Venice, Padua, Treviso and Trieste. Car

If you’re travelling by car, take the A4 (Venice – Trieste) motorway. If you’re coming from the direction of Milan or Brenner, the nearest exit is San Stino di Livenza. Caorle is 24 km away. If you’re coming from the direction of Udine, it’s best to exit at Portogruaro, which is 29 km from the town.

Once you’ve left the motorway, take the SP 59 (San Stino – Caorle) provincial road and you’ll soon reach your destination.

Train

If you want to use public transport to get to Caorle, the train is a very convenient option. Portogruaro, San Stino di Livenza and San Donà di Piave train stations are all around 30 km from Caorle, so you can get off at any one of them and then take a taxi or one of the regular buses to the town.

Plane

Another way to get to Caorle is by flying to one of the three airports in the local area.

  • Treviso “Antonio Canova” Airport is approximately 62 km away
  • Trieste “Ronchi dei Legionari” Airport is 94 km away
