Are there public beaches in Caorle?

Caorle’s picturesque coastline is split into two sections, known as the Ponente and Levante beaches. It boasts fine, golden sand, clean water and a well-maintained seafront promenade that’s great for long, pleasant strolls.

If you include the stretches of shore in the neighbouring areas of Porto Santa Margherita, Lido Altanea and Duna Verde, Caorle’s coastline spans a huge 12 kilometres.

Visitors can relax in unbeatable comfort thanks to the superb facilities of the area’s numerous beach establishments. The price for guests staying in Lampo Group’s hotels includes access to beach umbrellas, sun loungers, showers, games for children and other outstanding facilities and services on our partner beaches.

However, if you want to enjoy yourself on the sand without having to hire an umbrella, you can head to Caorle’s public beaches. There are large areas spread all along the coast that are ideal places to enjoy a day by the sea in complete freedom.

There are no rental umbrellas or deck chairs on these expanses of sand, so you can unwind with your own beach gear.

One of the best known and most popular public stretches of sand is a just a stone’s throw from our Europa and Touring hotels, on Ponente beach. It reaches as far as the mouth of the Livenza river. One of the most appealing free-access areas is “Sacheta” beach, which is near the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Angelo and just a short walk from the old town centre.

If you love strolling at the first light of dawn – even when you’re on holiday – then you should opt for the Falconera public beach, where you can watch the sun come up over the sea along with the many surfers out among the waves.

In addition to the private beach included in the price, guests staying at establishments in Lido Altanea such as the Hotel Maregolf and Hotel Olympus can also bask in the sunshine on a section of public beach spanning several hundred metres.
