Festivals, events and early autumn activities
There’s no better time of year to enjoy a stay in a beach resort than September, when life gets a little less hectic.
Bibione and Caorle are no exception. After all, the summer doesn’t end in August: the days are still long, the weather is great, the sea is warm and there’s a vibrant atmosphere in both towns, where you’ll find festivals, traditional events and endless opportunities to spend time together.
We’d like to tell you about the biggest dates in the diaries of the two Veneto resorts.
Wine and grapes will be in centre stage at the 40th edition of Septemberfest. One of the most popular events hosted by Bibione at this time of year, the famous festival brings spectacular taste sensations to the town centre every September.
As well as food stands, wine tastings, traditional desserts and lots of music, it’s a chance to relish a relaxed atmosphere and wonderful weather. Rounding it all off is a breathtaking fireworks display on the beach that lights up the September sky.
Take an evening stroll around stalls filled with craft goods, local products and curios.
Discover Bibione’s natural wonders during mountain bike rides at night. It’s free to take part and you’ll be accompanied by expert guides.
Take classes with top international presenters, go to parties on the beach and have a whale of a time at the biggest open-air fitness event around.
Just like Bibione, Caorle hosts a special celebration in September, in the shape of a Fish Festival that pays tribute to the village’s seafaring traditions. It takes place in spellbinding surroundings on Madonnina beach, near the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Angelo.
Fishers and volunteers cook local dishes such as mixed fries, sardee in saor (fried sardines that are marinated in oil, onions and vinegar), and polenta with cuttlefish, all of which are freshly prepared and served in an authentic Caorle atmosphere. More than just a festival, it’s a community gathering that encapsulates the town’s identity. If you’re fond of good food, learning about traditions and local experiences, it’s the perfect place for you.
This year will see the eighth edition of the event, which features free screenings, workshops, concerts and chances to meet directors.
If you’re thinking about taking a trip to see these two gems on the Veneto coast in September, Lampo Group can provide handy, flexible solutions such as apartments with sea views, aparthotels with pools and family-friendly campsites. Even in the low season, you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your time in this magnificent area, along with a sense of freedom that makes you feel at home.
