July is unquestionably one of the best months to go on holiday. That’s especially true if you choose the right destination.
We’ve put together this events calendar to help you choose the perfect place for your holiday. It contains dates for your diaries in Bibione and Caorle: two Veneto resorts where everything seems specially designed for an unbeatable summer.
As well as crystal-clear water in the sea and long stretches of golden sand, they are home to numerous events that will make your stay even more spellbinding, including bike rides at sunset, open-air concerts, markets, art exhibitions and activities for the whole family. There’s something to suit all tastes!
Visit Punta Tagliamento Lighthouse.
Would you like an authentic taste of local life during your holiday in Bibione? Every Wednesday in July, at 4:30 pm you can set off for a guided tour of Punta Tagliamento Lighthouse: a local landmark and the perfect spot for lovers of history, nature and photography.
Life at Bibione lighthouse doesn’t stop when the sun goes down: from July to October, it hosts evening activities, walks at night and family events. The “Farò Lab” experiential workshops every Thursday are a fun way to introduce kids to the marine world.
One of the unmissable experiences to enjoy in Bibione in the summer is “Riding in the Dark”: a mountain bike ride at sunset. Scheduled for 1, 15 and 29 July, these free adventures are perfect if you want to see Bibione from a whole new point of view.
If you love crafts and local products, don’t miss the night markets: every Monday from 7 July in the municipal park in Bibione Pineda and every Thursday in Lido del Sole. Vibrant atmospheres, music, curios and authentic flavours await you.
One of the most eagerly anticipated summer events in Caorle is the fireworks display at 10:30 pm on 26 July. There’s nothing like the spectacular sight of the fireworks reflected in the sea.
If you’re an art lover, you have until 31 August to visit the “Surrealism and Fantasy” exhibition at the Bafile Cultural Centre. It’s an immersive, engaging experience featuring more than 60 works by masters such as Dalí and Miró. The exhibition is open every day, in the morning and the evening.
If you’re wondering where to go in the evening in Caorle, the answer is Caorle in Jazz. In July, various locations in the town host live concerts that fuse the easy-going coastal atmosphere with refined international sounds.
All sorts of organic, natural and craft products will be on show at the “Goodness and Wellness” market in Porto Santa Margherita on 25 and 26 July. If you’re looking for quality and local goods, it’s the place to go.
Music will fill the air in Caorle on 27 July, during a parade and concert by the Bersaglieri Band from Ceggia. Corso Genova and Piazzale Darsena will be the settings for an event steeped in local folklore that is enthralling for people of all ages.
Every week, nature lovers set off from Falconera for guided tours of the Vallevecchia-Brussa nature reserve. Accompanied by an expert guide, they can walk or cycle around sites with some of the most enchanting scenery in the Veneto lagoon.
